Publication Number: ISO-1000-2007-013
Abstract: In support of California’s Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS), the California ISO (CAISO) completed an engineering study and report entitled Integration of Renewable Resources, which identifies issues that must be addressed in order to integrate large quantities of renewable generation resources into the CAISO grid. During the development of this study and report, CAISO worked closely with Participating Transmission Owners, the California Energy Commission, the California Public Utilities Commission, industry experts, adjacent balancing authority operators, owners/developers of renewable resources and other stakeholders. With this notice, CAISO extends its appreciation to stakeholders for the time spent in preparing comments and participating in meetings during the development of this report. The CAISO has posted the Integration of Renewable Resources report on its website at http://caiso.com/1ca5/1ca5a7a026270.pdf
