Draft Staff Revised Demand Forecast

This report documents the draft revised forecast of 2010 peak demand that the Energy Commission has recommended the California Independent System Operator use for its 2010 local area capacity requirements (LCR) study. The LCR study determines the total local area capacity to be allocated to load-serving entities as part of their year-ahead local resource adequacy requirement.

The Energy Commission requests comments on the draft forecast by February 24, 2009. Those submitting comments by electronic mail should provide them in either Microsoft Word format or as a Portable Document File (PDF) to docket@energy.state.ca.us. Please include your name or organization in the name of the file. One paper copy must also be sent to the Energy Commission's Docket Unit at the address shown below.

Parties may also submit comments in hard copy. Please hand-deliver or mail to:
