Implementation of Energy Commission Activities within the Zero Emission Vehicle Action Plan
Docket Number: 13-ALT-01
Lead Commissioner overseeing this proceeding:
Janea A. Scott
On March 23, 2012, the Governor issued an Executive Order that directs state government agencies to "support and facilitate the rapid commercialization of zero-emission vehicles" (ZEVs). As part of this effort, the Governor's Office developed the ZEV Action Plan. The 2013 ZEV Action Plan outlines four broad goals for state government to advance ZEVs, which include:
- Complete needed infrastructure and planning
- Expand Consumer awareness and demand
- Transform fleets
- Grow jobs and investment in the private sector
Within each of these goals are specific strategies to be undertaken by state agencies. The Energy Commission is identified as the Lead Agency and Supporting Agency for several strategies, and will be gathering information, forming recommendations, and developing future funding solicitations based on these strategies.
