Notice of Efficiency Committee Workshop
The California Energy Commission's Efficiency Committee (Chairman Jackalyne Pfannenstiel, Presiding Member, and Commissioner Arthur Rosenfeld, Associate Member) will conduct a public workshop to seek comments from interested parties regarding possible appliance efficiency standards for televisions to be considered as proposed amendments to the Appliance Efficiency Regulations (Title 20, California Code of Regulations, Section 1601 through Section 1608). The public is invited to attend the workshop, which will be held on:

Purpose
The purpose of this workshop is to provide industry, stakeholders and the public the opportunity to discuss possible amendments to the Appliance Efficiency Regulations proposed for televisions (in active mode).
Energy Commission staff will post current proposals submitted by interested parties for consideration and discussion at this workshop. Readers of this Workshop Notice will automatically receive the draft amendments when they are posted prior to the workshop.
Background
In its April 30, 2008, Notice of Efficiency Committee Workshop, the Efficiency Committee (Committee) established Part C [Docket Number 07-AAER-03-C] within Phase I of the 2008 Appliance Efficiency Rulemaking to specifically address television energy efficiency.
Written Comments
Written comments submitted prior to the workshop are requested by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2008. Written comments to be considered after the workshop must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 31, 2008. Please include the docket number 07-AAER-3-C, and indicate 2008 Rulemaking Proceeding on Appliance Efficiency Regulations in the subject line or first paragraph of your comments.
