The California Energy Commission will hold a Business Meeting on:
December 19, 2013
Beginning at 10:00 a.m.
CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION
1516 Ninth Street
First Floor, Hearing Room A
At the Business Meeting to the Commission will consider adoption of the proposed Guidelines for the California Clean Energy Jobs Act (Proposition 39). The proposed Guidelines will be posted on the Energy Commission website at:
The Energy Commission conducted five public meetings and three webinars across the state, at which the public was invited to participate and provide input for the Draft Guidelines. Staff explained the Draft Guidelines and funding allocations for eligible educational organizations. In addition, the Energy Commission accepted written public comments on the Draft Guidelines from September 27, 2013 through October 25, 2013. The proposed Guidelines reflect the comments provided by the public and other stakeholders.
At the December 19, 2013 Business Meeting, Energy Commission staff will present an overview of the content of the proposed Guidelines.
Members of the public and stakeholders in the Proposition 39 process should be aware that the proposed Guidelines could be substantively changed as a result of public comment, staff recommendations, or policy changes. Moreover, changes to the proposed Guidelines could be considered if they improve the clarity or effectiveness of the Guidelines. At the December 19, 2013 Business Meeting, the Commission will identify all proposed changes and provide an opportunity for public comment on the Guidelines, including changes, prior to adoption.
