The California Energy Commission Lead Commissioner on the 2014 Integrated Energy Policy Report (IEPR) Update will conduct a workshop to investigate the status of key alternative and renewable fuels, fueling infrastructure, and vehicle technologies that may play a role in reducing criteria pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector over the next ten years. The goal of the workshop is to develop an understanding of how alternative fuel and vehicle technologies may evolve over the next ten years, and to assess the expected state of these technologies and markets through 2023, and potentially beyond. The workshop will provide a forum to receive technology and market assessments from a variety of experts, including industry representatives working to commercialize the technologies that have the potential to help keep California on a steady path towards achieving its climate and clean air goals. Discussions during the workshop may focus on developing pathways for the commercialization of technologies related to biofuels; zero and near zero emission vehicles; and fueling infrastructure for electricity, hydrogen, natural gas, and biofuels.
Commissioner Janea A. Scott and Commissioner Karen Douglas will be in attendance. Commissioner Scott is the Lead Commissioner for the 2014 IEPR Update and the Lead Commissioner on Transportation. Other commissioners may attend and participate in the workshop. The workshop will be held:
