California Energy Commission staff will hold a workshop to discuss appropriate mitigation for significant impacts to cultural resources by the proposed Palen Solar Electric Generating System (PSEGS) project. At the January 7, 2014, Committee Conference, the committee directed Energy Commission staff to further consider, in consultation with the project owner and interested Native American tribes, appropriate mitigation for the significant effects that the proposed amendment would have on what the committee referred to as "tribal interests." The Presiding Member's Proposed Decision was published by the Energy Commission on December 13, 2013, and the "Corrected Transcript of the Committee Conference," was published on January 28, 2014. Both are available for review at:
https://efiling.energy.ca.gov/Lists/DocketLog.aspx?docketnumber=09-AFC-07C. This workshop will only cover the topic of the revisions necessary to the proposed license conditions of certification, to be responsive to the committee's direction.
