Over the past few years, legislative action has served as a catalyst for solar energy development. Yet, despite this emerging adoption of solar in public consciousness, it has been challenging for regulated utilities to implement these measures while still maintaining their level of service in an economically sustainable manner and achieving targeted rates of return.
This conference will explore the strategies, programs, and business models in practice and under consideration to enable public power utilities and IOUs to benefit from the implementation of solar. It will also explore how certain regulatory changes might increase the opportunities for utilities as they adapt their business models to promote solar development.
