California Energy Commission staff is conducting a workshop to present draft revisions to be considered for inclusion in the 2016 Standards Update to the voluntary energy efficiency provisions of the California Green Building Standards (CALGreen) Code (Title 24, Part 11, California Building Code). The Energy Commission will use this workshop to solicit public comment on proposed revisions to the voluntary provisions.

The Energy Commission is conducting a public process to consider and ultimately adopt changes to the voluntary energy efficiency provisions in the California Green Building Standards Code (California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 24, Part 11, also known as CALGreen Tier I and II) to reflect the following goals:
- Newly constructed residential buildings to be Zero Net Energy by 2020.
- Newly constructed nonresidential buildings to be Zero Net Energy by 2030.
- Consistent requirements applicable to additions and alterations for both residential and nonresidential buildings.
