California Energy Commission staff will conduct a workshop to solicit public input on a proposed portfolio of energy-related research to support California's Fourth Climate Change Assessment. Commissioners may attend and participate in the workshop. The workshop will be held:

The purpose of this workshop is to seek input from the general public, from public and private stakeholders, and from the research community to foster collaborative, actionable research regarding climate vulnerability, resilience, and management options in the energy sector. This research will contribute to California's Fourth Climate Change Assessment (Fourth Assessment).
Energy Commission staff will present the following:
1. Overview of California's three prior assessments and goals of the Fourth
2. Relationship of energy sector vulnerability studies to non-energy research of the Fourth Assessment
3. Draft portfolio of energy sector studies
Public participants will have the opportunity to help the Energy Commission improve the proposed research portfolio through discussion and public comments.
