Instruction details: Energy Efficiency professionals will receive between 24 to 300 hours of training in-home energy and building performance. The higher number of hours will be for an estimated 10 percent of trainees who will be trained for multiple certifications. Training will include both classroom and productive lab in green/clean skills; and classroom training using computer software tailored to the certification programs.
Result of classes: Training can lead to certification.
More about the organization: The California Building Performance Contractors Association provides energy training for the construction industry throughout California, working with Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (HPwES), Building Performance Institute (BPI), Home Energy Rating System (HERS), and Residential Energy Retrofit Contractor (RERC).
