Efficiency First, Inc.

Type of organization: National, nonprofit, trade association.

Type of training: Home energy performance retrofitting for residential customers.

Area served: Statewide California.

Location of training: Various locations in and around San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and others locations TBD.

Estimated trainees: 218

Instruction details: Participating companies will receive partial reimbursement for employee training after 90 days of employee retention following completion of training. All participating employers will be screened for compliance with the Panel's guidelines for eligibility prior to trainee enrollment.

Result of classes: All training is designed for green/clean certifications to be acquired by trainees upon successful completion of the specific courses and required testing. The certifications are offered by nationally-recognized organizations such as the Building Performance Institute (BPI), the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and the California Certified Energy Rating and Testing Services Certification (CalCerts).

More about the organization: Efficiency First advocates for companies and related organizations engaged in home energy performance retrofitting for residential customers. Its objective is to support the growth of the home energy performance retrofit industry, and to meet the unprecedented demand for businesses and workers to provide quality residential energy improvements.
