Green Plumbers Training & Accreditation
Type of organization: Plumbing Industry Education and Accreditation Firm (non-profit).
Type of training: The installation and maintenance of plumbing and related systems for solar, rainwater, and graywater technologies. Also includes Water and Energy conservation through plumbing efficiencies, including appliance retrofits, graywater, solar and rainwater systems.
Area served: Statewide California.
Location of training: Alameda County, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Monterey, North Orange County, Petaluma, Richmond, Riverside, Sacramento, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura.
Estimated trainees: 450
Instruction details: This five-part environmental and technical program is offered as a series of 11 three-hour class-lab training sessions taught one night a week, or as three 8-hour and two 4-hour day classes. Overall, the training will consist of 12 sessions, the last of which will be an examination.
Result of classes: Both scenarios include plumber accreditation or certificate of completion.
More about the organization: GreenPlumbers®USA was created through agreement with Green Plumbers of Australia to bring this water and energy conservation program to America, including the proprietary curriculum.
