Instruction details: NorCal Solar will partner with its training vendor Solar Universe to provide classroom and laboratory training through the Solar University educational division, which was custom designed by solar industry experts specifically for solar PV installation training. The facility replicates field installation conditions and offers a strong emphasis on worker safety and job site best practices.

Result of classes: Targeted to architects, contractors, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) pros, roofers, entrepreneurs and electricians looking to add Solar PV installation as part of their service offerings.

More about the organization: NorCal Solar is the Northern California chapter of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), a national organization dedicated to advancing the use of solar and other renewable energy sources. As a trade association, NorCal Solar's member employers are primarily involved in green technology and provide jobs that transmit renewable solar energy. In addition to training services, NorCal's training partner Solar Universe also offers residential and small commercial solar photovoltaic system design, installation, and maintenance services.
