Green Building and Clean Energy Pre-Apprenticeship
Training Partnerships

California leads the nation in implementing innovative public policies supporting clean energy development, climate change mitigation and building efficiency standards. California's green economy can only be built and sustained by a well-trained workforce that can advance California's policies for a clean energy future.
Working through partnerships with local work force investment boards and community colleges, the Clean Energy Workforce Training Program delivers training to unemployed and underemployed workers seeking careers in green industry. Click on these links for information on 18 training programs spread around the state:
Local workforce investment boards can also provide information. To find your local board, go to www.cwib.ca.gov/local_boards. Local community colleges may offer additional green training programs.
