EDD's Labor Market Information Division conducted a study of California's green economy particularly with interest towards understanding the nature of the green economy, the number of green jobs, and the effects of environmental policy initiatives on the growth of industries in the state.

EDD's Labor Market Information Division put together a report with a special focus on the clean transportation job market which includes production, storage, and transportation of renewable fuels; green transportation manufacturing, distribution, installation and maintenance; and sustainable fuel feedstock production and extraction.
California Community Colleges Economic and Workforce Development Center of Excellence' s Index of Studies and Research
The Centers of Excellence are conducting a statewide effort to study the workforce needs of emerging and evolving green industries and occupations.

This CPUC commissioned this report by UC Berkeley's Don Vial Center which offers the states first comprehensive analysis of the job impacts from Californias energy efficiency policies and workforce preparation in affected occupations.
