XtremepowerUS is a Chino, California, based company who manufactures pool pump and pool motors. XtremepowerUS sold or offered for sale 450 pool pump and pool motors in California, during the time period of July 2013 to August 2017.

This case was a result of California Energy Commission (Commission) staff research. The Commission's testing and investigation process identified XtremepowerUS manufacturing and offering for pool pump and pool motors that did not meet the design standard, were not marked properly, and were not certified to the Appliance Efficiency Database (Database).

To settle this matter, XtremepowerUS executed a Settlement Agreement with the Commission on February 16, 2018, for $30,000.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011(Pavley). XtremepowerUS has also agreed to a compliance plan to test and certify each basic model to the Database, add the required marking, and remove the product in violation from the California market before continuing to sell into California.
