Existing Agreements

California has signed memorandums of understanding with several countries. These agreements represent a formal declaration between countries, states, provinces, and cities to develop energy conservation policies, use cleaner energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Such an agreement is a symbol of mutual goodwill thereby encouraging bilateral cooperation. To share its successes and learn from others, the Energy Commission is committed to cooperating with other countries and jurisdictions interested in addressing complex energy issues and creating a clean energy future.
