 Rule 21 Supplemental Review Guideline

Rule 21 Model Language - As of 2/24/06
(Acrobat PDF file, 41 pages, 328 kilobytes) online June 14, 2006.

The Model rule language available for download on this page represents standardized interconnection language contained in the tariff booklets of California's three investor-owned utilities, Pacific Gas and Electric, Southern California Edison, and San Diego Gas and Electric. These rules are subject to the jurisdiction of the California Public Utilities Commission and are intended to be identical across the three utilities, with minor exceptions.

While municipalities and irrigation districts not subject to CPUC jurisdiction and not required to adopt the model language, the Energy Commission and the CPUC have encouraged them to do so. It should be noted that many of these entities have done so either formally or in practice.
