How to Read an ebook on a Tablet

Every eReading device has it's own method of downloading and reading ebook files. If your device does not support downloading and reading the file directly from the link on the website, please consult your device's manual. Unfortunately, Amazon's Kindle and Kindle Fire do not support the EPUB file format.

Instructions for common devices are provided below.

iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch

Please make sure that you have the most current version of iBooks installed on your device.

How to download directly on the iPad/iPhone

  1. Click the link to the EPUB version of the document
  2. Select "Open in iBooks"
  3. The EPUB will open and be added to your iBooks collection

How to download to computer and move to iPad/iPhone

  1. Download the EPUB to your computer
  2. Open iTunes
  3. Find the EPUB file on your computer and drag it onto your Library in iTunes
  4. Connect your iPad/iPhone to your computer
  5. In iTunes, check in the "Books" tab to ensure the EPUB is selected for syncing
  6. Sync the device
  7. The EPUB can now be located in your iBooks collection

Kindle

  1. Download the MOBI version to your computer.
  2. Connect the Kindle to your computer.
  3. Open the Kindle's Documents folder.
  4. Drag the file into the Documents.
  5. Unplug the Kindle from the computer.
  6. The file should be visible in your books collection.

Nook

  1. Download the EPUB to your computer
  2. Connect your Nook to your computer
  3. Open the My Documents folder on your Nook
  4. Drag the EPUB to the Nook's My Documents folder
  5. Unplug the Nook from the computer
  6. Perform a Search for New Content
  7. The EPUB can now be located in the My Documents folder
