Gulf Coast to California Pipeline Feasibility Study

The Gulf Coast to California Pipeline Feasibility Study, by
the California Energy Commission Transportation Committee is now
available on the Energy Commission's website at:

The report summarizes the Energy
Commission's investigation of a new or expanded pipeline to deliver
additional transportation fuel supplies to California from the U.S. Gulf
Coast.
Assembly Bill 2098 (Chapter 963, Statutes of 2000) directs the
Energy Commission to study the feasibility of financing, constructing,
and maintaining a new pipeline or expanding the capacity of existing
pipelines to transport motor vehicle fuel and its components from the
Gulf Coast to California. The Energy Commission is required to report
its findings and recommendations to the Legislature and the Attorney
General. To meet this mandate, the Energy Commission will consider
adopting the report at its August 20, 2003, Business Meeting.
