Geothermal Energy Research Funding
The Commission is updating its Geothermal Grant and Loan Program (GRDA) through this 2012 Rulemaking
Geothermal Energy is a significant source of renewable energy in California. The Commission promotes development of geothermal energy resources and technologies through research, development and demonstration partnerships and consultant contracts, as well as through financial assistance to eligible applicants via competitive project solicitations. Funding is provided through the Energy Commission's Geothermal Grant and Loan Program and the Public Interest Energy Research program.
