Welcome to the California Energy Commission
California Climate Change Advisory Committee
Docket # 04-CCAC-1
ANNOUNCEMENTS

Public Resources Code section 25730(f) directs the Energy Commission to establish a Climate Change Advisory Committee to "make recommendations to the Commission on the most equitable and efficient ways to implement international and national climate change requirements based on cost, technical feasibility, and relevant information on current energy and air quality policies and activities and on greenhouse gas emissions reductions and trends since 1990." In addition, the Energy Commission is soliciting comments and suggestions from the general public and other interested parties on ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to address global climate change.

The Advisory Committee will be asked to provide input on a wide range of topics associated with climate change impacts on California. California Energy Commissioner James D. Boyd chairs this Committee, which includes representatives of business, major industrial and energy sectors, utilities, forestry, agriculture, local government, and environmental groups.
