California Wind Resource Maps

New wind resource maps for California are now available.

The Energy Commission has contracted with TrueWind Solutions LLC to generate high-resolution wind maps for California using state-of-the-art numerical modeling techniques along with site data validation.

Note: Due to security concerns, various maps that showed a higher degree of details about energy facilities in California have been removed from our website.
