Agency participants will use the information discussed during the meeting to improve their understanding of California natural gas issues and refine related work agendas for the coming year. This is an informal dialogue and not considered to be part of other regulatory or policy proceedings.

Background

The California Energy Commission (Energy Commission) formed the California Natural Gas Stakeholders Working Group during the 2001 energy crisis. Some of the working group participants include: California Air Resources Board, California Public Utilities Commission, Energy Commission, Department of General Services, Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources, Sempra Energy, Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Gas, State Lands Commission, and others.
