Electricity and Natural Gas Research Investment Plans
The California Energy Commission staff will conduct a workshop to review the draft of the Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) programÕs 2007-2012 Electricity and Natural Gas Research Investment Plans.
MONDAY, JANUARY 30, 2006
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
California Employment Development Department
EDD Auditorium
722 Capital Mall
Sacramento, California 95814
Purpose of the Workshop
The purpose of this workshop is to receive feedback from industry stakeholders on PIERÕs draft 2007-2012 Electricity Research Investment Plan, as well as PIERÕs 2007-2012 Natural Gas Research Investment Plan.
Background
The PIER program is required to submit to the Legislature by March 15, 2006 an Electricity Research Investment Plan for the 2007 to 2012 period. While there is no parallel legislative requirement for a Natural Gas Plan, the PIER program developed the Natural Gas Research Investment Plan to capture the synergies between the electricity and natural gas programs and set the basis for collaborative research planning with the California Public Utilities Commission and the California Air Resources Board.
