Notice of California Wind Energy Collaborative 2006 Forum
The California Wind Energy Collaborative (CWEC) will host its annual forum to explore the technology, policy, and planning issues driving wind energy's future in California.

The forum will assemble expert panels from industry, government, and academia to discuss the most relevant issues facing wind energy in the state. The keynote speakers will be Dr. Dariush Shirmohammadi, California ISO's Director of Regional Transmission - South and Mr. Jens S¿by, President of Vestas Americas. Dr. Shirmohammadi will present the transmission plans that will connect California's incoming new wind capacity in Southern California. Mr. S¿by will share his views on the future of wind energy, discussing both current and forthcoming issues.
The forum will begin at noon on December 12 and will be followed by a reception that evening. It will then continue throughout the morning of December 13. The afternoon will feature a wind plant tour in the nearby Solano wind resource area.

CWEC is a partnership between the University of California and the California Energy Commission. CWEC and this forum are funded by the PIER program. CWEC serves as a state level entity to allow coordination among the diverse set of parties involved in further developing California wind energy resources. This will be CWEC's fifth annual forum.
