UPDATE - SOLICITATIONS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Energy Efficient Buildings: U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced the specific allocations for the $346 million for Energy Efficiency Building Technologies. Wind Testing Facility: DOE released the FOA (DE-FOA-0000112) for $45 million for the development of a wind drive train testing facility. [ www.energy.gov/recovery/funding.htm ]

Carbon Sequestration: DOE released FOA (DE-FOA-0000032) for Geologic CO2 Sequestration Training and Research for universities, colleges and college-affiliated research institutions. [ www.energy.gov/recovery/funding.htm ]


CALIFORNIA COMPANY CATCHES CO2 CASH

Hydrogen Energy International LLC (Kern County) will receive $308 million in ARRA funding for their proposed innovative demonstration of advanced coal technology to advance carbon capture and storage. The proposed facility will design, construct, and operate an integrated gasification combined cycle power plant that converts coal and coke into hydrogen and CO2.
