REMINDER - SEP GUIDELINES WORKSHOPS
July 28, 29 and 31, 2009 - 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Energy Commission staff has scheduled three public workshops to discuss the ARRA State Energy Program preliminary guidelines and schedule for fund distribution. The workshop will focus on the three specific program areas for funding opportunities: Municipal Financing District Program (AB 811-type programs); California Comprehensive Residential Building Program; and Municipal and Commercial Building Targeted Measure Retrofit Program. Up to $96 million will be available through a solicitation progress.
All three workshops will be webcast over the Internet by WebEx.

NON-ARRA FUNDING ENERGY ANNOUNCEMENTS UPDATE
Biofuels Production: Joint awards by the DOE and the U.S. Department of Agriculture for up to $6.3 million for four projects. The U.S. Department of Agriculture/Agricultural Research Service - Western Regional Research Center in Albany, California, received the largest award of $1.3 million over three years to continue biofuels research on certain crop plants that are cheaper to produce and grow on poorer quality land.
