Victorville Hosts Workshop for
High Desert Power Project
Sacramento -- The California Energy Commission staff is reviewing the High Desert application for data adequacy. The proposed High Desert Power Project was filed by Inland Energy and Constellation Energy. The Executive Director will notify the project applicant within 30 days if the project meets the initial data adequacy review. Energy Commission staff will be holding a Data Adequacy workshop in Victorville at the City Hall from 9:30 a.m to 4 p.m.
on July 22, 1997.
If the High Desert Application for Certification (AFC) is data adequate, the Commission will assign an energy facility licensing committee at its August 13, 1997 Business Meeting. The committee, comprised of two Energy Commissioners, will oversee in the quasi-adjudicatory licensing process. This process typically takes about 12 months and ensures the proposed project complies with provisions of the Warren-Alquist Act and the California Environmental Quality Act prior to receiving its license to construct and operate.
