Community Calendar Announcement

If your publication, radio or television station offers a calendar of community events, you may want to include news of the following public workshop.

The California Energy Commission will be conducting a public workshop to discuss the final determination of compliance for the Delta Energy Center Application for Certification as follows:

Monday, November 8, 1999
Beginning at 6 p.m.
Delta Diablo Sanitation District Administration Building
Employee Cafeteria
2500 Pittsburg-Antioch Highway (off Arcy Lane)
Pittsburg, California

The Delta Energy Center in Contra Costa County is proposed for construction on an undeveloped 20-acre parcel at the Dow Chemical Company facility. Located northwest of the Delta Diablo Sanitation District treatment plant. The 880-megawatt project is a joint partnership of Calpine Corporation and the San Francisco-based Bechtel Enterprises Inc., an affiliate of Bechtel Group Inc.

The public and local, state and federal agencies are encouraged to attend and participate.
