The Committee overseeing the Application for Certification for the proposed Elk Hills Power Project will conduct an evidentiary hearing as follows:

Elk Hills Power, LLC, is proposing to construct and operate a nominally rated 500-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined cycle, electricity-generating facility in Kern County. The proposed plant would be built approximately 25 miles west of the city of Bakersfield in the Elk Hills region. The power plant and related facilities, such as the electric transmission line, natural gas pipeline, and water lines are under the California Energy Commission's siting authority.
Members of the public are invited to participate in this hearing. Time will be reserved at each hearing to allow members of the public to comment.
