The Committee overseeing the Application for Certification for the proposed Otay Mesa Generating Project will sponsor a status conference as follows:

MONDAY, May 22, 2000
Beginning at 1 p.m.
Chula Vista Public Services Building
Council Chambers

The purpose of the conference will be to discuss the timetable for obtaining information required to complete Staff's analyses, the status of the Preliminary Determination of Compliance, potential delays in completing the Final Determination of Compliance , as well as any other pertinent scheduling matters.

The Otay Mesa Generating Company, Limited Liability Company, filed an Application for Certification seeking approval from the California Energy Commission to construct and operate a 510-megawatt generating project. The project is proposed to be located on an undeveloped 15-acre site in the Otay Mesa region of western San Diego County.
