Energy Commission Schedules Informational Hearing and Site Visit to Proposed Nueva Azalea Energy Project

Sacramento - On Monday, October 2, 2000, members of the public and other interested parties will have an opportunity to learn more about the proposed Nueva Azalea Power Plant Project

If approved, the Nueva Azalea Project, a 550-megawatt, natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant would be located on a 13.5 acre site in the City of South Gate, a southeast suburb of the City of Los Angeles.

What: Informational Hearing and Site Visit
Who: The hearing is an open meeting where interested members of the
public are welcome to participate and ask questions about the project.
When: MONDAY, October 2, 2000
3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
A recess will be taken at 4:30 p.m. for the site visit.
The hearing will reconvene at 6 p.m.
Where: South Gate Municipal Auditorium

Bus transportation to the site will be provided from the hearing location. Land owners, members of the general public, community organizations, and interested governmental agencies are invited to participate in this tour.
