The California Energy Commission staff has scheduled a workshop to discuss the proposed Contra Costa Power Plant Project. The workshop will be held as follows:
WEDNESDAY, October 11, 2000
6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

The purpose of this workshop is to update members of the public on the status of staff analyses primarily in the areas of air quality, public health, biological resources, and water resources.
Southern Energy Delta LLC proposes to construct and operate the Contra Costa Power Plant Unit 8, a 530-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combine cycle power plant. The site exists at the Contra Costa Power Plant located 1-mile northeast of the city of Antioch on Wilbur Avenue near State Route 4, State Route 160 and the Antioch Bridge.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to comment and ask clarifying questions on any of the subjects.
