Hearing and Site Visit to Proposed
Potrero Power Plant Project
Sacramento -- On Thursday, November 9, 2000, members of the public and other interested parties will have an opportunity to learn more about the proposed Potrero Power Plant Project.
If approved, the Potrero Power Plant Unit 7 Project, a 540-megawatt natural gas-fired, combined cycle power generating facility, would be located in San Francisco at 1201 Illinois Street, between 22nd and 23rd Streets. The plant is bounded on the north by 22nd Street and by a paved parking lot. The plant is bounded on the south by 23rd Street, and by Illinois Street on the west. The proposed project would be owned and operated by Southern Energy Potrero LLC, a direct subsidiary of Southern Energy California, and would operate in conjunction with an existing 206-megawatt steam turbine and three 52-megawatt combustion turbines now at the Potrero Power Plant.
What: Informational Hearing and Site Visit Who: The hearing is an open meeting where interested members of
the public are welcome to participate and ask questions about the project.
When: THURSDAY, November 9, 2000
1 p.m. - 8 p.m.
A recess will be taken at 3:30 p.m. for the site
The hearing will reconvene at 6 p.m.

Bus transportation to the site will be provided from the hearing location. Land owners, members of the general public, community organizations, and interested governmental agencies are invited to participate in this tour.
