Energy Commission staff has scheduled a workshop to discuss the proposed Hanford Energy Park Project. The workshop will be held as follows:
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2001
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This workshop is being held so that the applicant's representatives, interested agencies, and the public can discuss the staff's Draft Initial Study. Topic areas will include: air quality, aesthetics, biological and cultural resources, energy resources, geology and soils, hazardous materials and waste, hydrology and water resources, land and agricultural use, noise, public health, socioeconomics, traffic and transportation, transmission line safety and transmission system engineering.
The proposed Hanford Energy Project is a 98.7-megawatt natural gas-fired, combined cycle electric generating facility to be located on a 10-acre site in Kings Industrial Park, on the southern border of Hanford, immediately adjacent to an existing GWF cogeneration plant.
