If your publication, radio or television station offers a calendar of community events, you may want to include news of the following conference.
The Committee designated to conduct proceedings on the Application for Certification for the proposed Western Midway Sunset Project will hold a public conference as follows:
TUESDAY, MARCH 13, 2001
Beginning at 10:00 a.m.
First Floor Hearing Room A
California Energy Commission
1516 Ninth Street
This conference is being held so that the Committee can receive comments on the Presiding Member's Proposed Decision, which was released on February 14, 2001.
The proposed 500-megawatt natural gas-fired electricity generation plant would be constructed on an undeveloped 10-acre site next to the existing Western Midway Sunset Cogeneration Company (MSCC) facility. After construction, the proposed project would be incorporated into the MSCC site.
The public is encouraged to participate and will have the opportunity to provide comments and ask questions during the workshop. Persons requiring information on how to participate in the Energy Commission's review of the proposed project should contact Roberta Mendonca, the Energy Commission's Public Adviser, at (916) 654-4489 or toll free in California at (800) 822-6228, or by e-mail at email@example.com.
