Public Hearing on Metcalf Energy Center

Sacramento -- The California Energy Commission's committee overseeing the application for certification for the Metcalf Energy Center will hold a non-evidentiary hearing on March 23, 2001.

These non-evidentiary hearings are held so that the Committee can hear comments from the parties in the case regarding the appropriate legal and conceptual criteria for the Commission to apply in considering an override of local land use requirements. The comments are not made under oath and are not subject to cross examination.
