The staff of the California Energy Commission will hold a data response and issues workshop on the proposed Rio Linda/Elverta Power Project as follows:

This workshop will provide a chance to discuss data reponses from the applicant related to the project. Data response areas will include: air quality, biological resources, cultural resources, geological resources, hazardous materials management, land use, noise, plant reliability, traffic and transportation, visual resources, water resources, and soil resources. The workshop will also address specific issues identified by the staff in the following areas: biological and water resources, noise, visual resources, land use, and fire protection.
The Rio Linda/Elverta Power Project, proposed by FPL Energy Sacramento Power LLC, is a 560-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle facility. The facility would be located on a 90-acre parcel in the community of Rio Linda, in Sacramento County, approximately 7 miles east of Sacramento International Airport.
Members of the public and interested agencies are invited to participate in the workshop. Time will be reserved to allow members of the public to comment.
