Energy Commission Schedules Hearing, Tour of
Proposed Power Plant Site in Riverside County


Sacramento - The California Energy Commission has scheduled a hearing and site tour for members of the public and others interested in learning about a 456-megawatt, simple-cycle electric generation facility proposed for construction and operation in Riverside County.

The facility, Ocotillo Energy Project, is being proposed by InterGen North America LP. The project would be located on 54 acres in the eastern portion of a 160-acre parcel about eight miles northwest of central Palm Springs.

Site Visit and Informational Hearing

When:

Monday, July 30, 2001
Site Visit begins at 4 p.m.
Informational Hearing begins at 6 p.m.

Palm Springs City Hall
Council Chambers
3200 Tahquitz Canyon Way
Palm Springs, California
(Wheelchair Accessible)
