Energy Commission Schedules Hearing, Tour of
Proposed Russell City Energy Center

Sacramento - The California Energy Commission has scheduled a hearing and site tour for members of the public and others interested in learning about a 600-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle electric generating facility proposed for construction and operation in Alameda County.

The facility, Russell City Energy Center, is being proposed by Calpine/Bechtel Joint Development. It would be located on a 14.7-acre site directly south of the Water Pollution Control Facility within the Industrial Corridor of the City of Hayward.
