The staff of the California Energy Commission will hold a visual and biological resources meeting on the proposed East Altamont Energy Center as follows:

The meeting is being held to discuss the options available for mitigating potential biological impacts and also the potential for visual resources mitigation to impact biological resources.
The East Altamont Energy Center, proposed by East Altamont Energy Center LLC, is a 1,100-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined cycle facility. It would be built on a 174-acre parcel located approximately one mile west of the San Joaquin County line and 1 mile southeast of the Contra Costa County line.
Members of the public and interested agencies are invited to participate in the meeting. Time will be reserved to allow members of the public to comment.
