Energy Commission Schedules Informational Hearing
and Site Visit to Proposed Los Esteros Energy Facility
Sacramento - On Monday, November 5, members of the public and other interested parties will have an opportunity to learn more about a 180-megawatt energy facility proposed by Calpine.
If approved, the facility would be located on 15 acres of a 55-acre tract, owned by the applicant, in north San Jose at Elviso-Milpitas Road within Santa Clara County. The project would consist of four gas fired, simple-cycle turbines.
What: Informational Hearing and Site Visit When: November 5, 2001 Beginning at 4 p.m. Where: Alviso Yacht Club 1491 Hope Street Alviso, California (Wheelchair Accessible) The informational hearing will recess so that the site visit may be done during daylight hours and will reconvene after the tour. Bus transportation will be provided to the proposed site. Land owners, members of the public, and governmental agencies are invited to participate.
