Energy Commission staff will conduct a data response workshop to discuss the proposed Los Esteros Critical Energy Facility as follows:
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2001

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the applicant's data responses and resolve outstanding issues. Discussion topics include air quality, biological and cultural resources, reliability/efficiency, facility design, geological resources, land use, noise, public health, socioeconomics, traffic and transportation, transmission system engineering, visual resources, water and soil resources, and worker safety.
Proposed by Calpine, the Los Esteros Critical Energy Facility would be a 180Ğmegawatt, natural gas-fired, simple cycle power plant located on 15-acres in north San Jose at Elviso-Milpitas Road within Santa Clara County.
Members of the public and interested agencies are invited to participate in the workshop. Time will be reserved to allow members of the public to comment.
