If your publication, radio or television station offers a calendar of community events, you may want to include news of the following workshop.
Energy Commission staff will conduct a biological research workshop to discuss the proposed Russell City Energy Center as follows:
TUESDAY, JANUARY 8, 2002
2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Hearing Room B

The workshop will involve a presentation of the Applicant's proposed plans for the mitigation of project impacts to biological resources. Discussion of these plans and resolution of issues will be encouraged among the Applicant, the public intervenors and interested federal, state and local agencies.
The Russell City Energy Center would be a 600-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined cycle power plant located in the Industrial Corridor of the City of Hayward in Alameda County. The facility would be built on a 14.7-acre site directly south of the Water Pollution Control Facility.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to comment and ask questions during the workshop.
