The site visit will include the proposed 26-mile natural
gas pipeline route, the power plant site, and the construction
laydown areas. The workshop is being held to discuss
the applicant's data responses and outstanding issues.
The Consumnes Power Plant, proposed by the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), would be a 1,000-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined cycle power plant located near the former Rancho Seco Nuclear Plant, 25 miles southeast of the City of Sacramento, in Sacramento County.
Members of the public and interested agencies are invited to participate and provide comments. Time will be reserved to allow members of the public to comment.
