Energy Commission Schedules Hearing, Tour of
Proposed Tesla Power Plant
Sacramento -- The California Energy Commission has scheduled a hearing
and site tour for members of the public and others interested in
learning about a 1,120-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle
electric generating facility proposed for construction and operation in
Alameda County.
The Tesla power plant project is being proposed by Midway Power, LLC.
The facility would be located on a 60-acre portion of a 160-acre parcel
that is approximately one-half mile north of the Pacific Gas and
Electric Tesla substation.

The informational hearing will recess to allow for a site visit during
dayligh hours. Bus transportation will be provided from the hearing
location to the site. Land owners, members of the public, and
governmental agencies are invited to participate.
