Community Calendar Announcement

March 22, 2002

Dear Editor/Publisher:

If your publication, radio or television station offers a calendar of community events, you may want to include news of the following workshop.

Energy Commission staff will conduct a data response and issues resolution workshop to discuss the proposed Tesla Power Plant Project as follows:

10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
4 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Elks Lodge
940 Larkspur Drive
Livermore, California
(Wheelchair Accessible)

This workshop is being held so that the applicant's representatives, interested agencies, and the public can discuss project issues and data responses submitted by the applicant on March 8, 2002.

The Tesla Power Plant Project, proposed by Midway Power LLC, would be a 1,120-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle electric generating facility located on a 60-acre portion of a 160-acre parcel in Alameda County approximately one-half mile north of the PG&E Tesla substation.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to comment and ask questions during the workshop. Persons requiring information on how to participate in the Energy Commission's review of the proposed project should contact Roberta Mendonca, the Energy Commission's Public Adviser, at (916) 654-4489 or toll free in California at (800) 822-6228, or by e-mail at [pao@energy.state.ca.us].

Information about the proposed project is available on the Energy Commission's web page at:
