Key Energy Commission Report Recommends
Licensing the Tracy Peaker Project
Sacramento - A California Energy Commission Siting Committee
recommends approval of the Tracy Peaker Project. The 169-megawatt,
natural gas-fired, simple-cycle power plant is proposed by GWF Energy,
LLC for a 10.3-acre site in an unincorporated portion of San Joaquin
County near the city of Tracy.
The Siting Committee's recommendation comes in the Presiding Member's
Proposed Decision that is now available on the Energy Commission's
website at:

The Presiding Member's Proposed Decision is not a final decision on the
Tracy Peaker Project. The full Energy Commission will vote whether to
license the plant at its regularly scheduled business meeting on:

The proposed Tracy Peaker Plant would include two combustion turbine
generators in simple-cycle mode, an on site 230-kilovolt switchyard,
approximately five miles of 230-kilovolt transmission line,
approximately 1,470 feet of water supply line and an on site natural gas
supply.
